Join us for the German American Club's 6th Annual Oktoberfest celebration!
The celebration will run from 5:30-11pm and feature the Alpen Spielers with Betty Jo Simon performing. Betty Jo and the Alpen Spielers are a German Polka Band featuring acoustical accordion and a wide range of lively music-- from Polkas to folk songs. Blautaler Schuhplattler, a German Folk Dance group that performs internationally, will perform folk dance routines in authentic traditional costumes.
The German American Club's Oktoberfest will also feature Dixie Cadillac's a self contained band performing standard country, contemporary country, classic rock and even rhythm and blues. Wonderscope is again providing interesting and educational games and entertainment for the children.
Shawnee's Oktoberfest is intended for the whole family and includes games for the children, German food and beverages, all geared to heighten the festival atmosphere. All events are open to the public, with free admission.
