Sponsored by the Truro Art Society, this year’s Art Acquisition Show runs from November 3 - 27 at the NSCC Truro Campus McCarthy Hall Gallery on 36 Arthur St. McCarthy Gallery Hours are Mon - Thurs 8am-6pm, Fri 8 am- 4:30 pm. " Her First Time Walking in a Cloud; Fog Rolling In", by artist ,Wendy D. Irvine, was chosen as this year's selection. Mayor Bob Taylor and District 5, County Councillor, Glen Edwards in front of the painting after announcing their choice. Her website is http://www.wendy-irvine.ca/ The Municipality of Colchester also purchased "We Believe" by artist Janice Guinan (to view click on photo/video)as their commemorative to celebrate the Olympics and the Olympic Torch Relay. Excitement, awe,amazement of the Olympic torch is reflected in the children's eyes. Her website is http://www.janiceguinan.com/ Both paintings will be part of the Municipality's permanent art collection at the County of Colchester Courthouse, 1 Church St. Truro. All other paintings in the show
