Luca Luciano (clarinet) in Concert

Clarinet Recital with piano accompaniment performing original compositions written by Luciano and published in the album Neapolis. The programme presents new and challenging music, unique and varied, embracing romantic atmospheres and contemporary idioms, experimentation and heartfelt melodies. Though Lucas exceptional virtuoso skills are clearly evident, the music has always a distinctive melodic sense influenced by the European tradition and his Neapolitan heritage.

Luca is a noted Italian clarinettist and composer who now makes his home in London, having developed an enviable reputation as an instrumental virtuoso around the UK and overseas via recordings and concert hall appearances Masterful Clarinet, Musician Magazine. Also Professor of both Jazz and Classical Clarinet at the Leeds College of Music, he started his career at a very young age only twelve performing at one of the most prestigious and ancient concert-halls of his home town Naples. He appeared on RAI Television nationwide live aged only twenty-one and has quickly established himself as one of the most interesting talents in the UK and Europe.
