      The Labour Campaign for Drug Policy Reform is delighted to announce our Wales Meeting will be taking place in Swansea. Chair  Tonia Antoniazzi MP Speakers: Pat Hudson – Anyone’s Child – Will be speaker about Anyones Child’s work and the loss of her son following a fatal heroin Overdose in 2017 in M&S toilets in Carmarthen, and how drug policy reform could reduce the risk of others in a similar position to her son, experiencing the same fate. Elwyn “Tommy” Thomas – Tommy works for Gwent Drug and Alcohol Service, but advocates on behalf of service users. Tommy will be talking about how drug policy reform can benefit those who use substances, in particular around Drug Consumption Rooms. Tommy will also discuss his experience of volunteering at a DCR in Copenhagen as well as providing a supervised space to use at the recent International Harm Reduction Conference in Porto a couple of months ago. John Calcagni – John is originally from San Francisco but first visited Cardiff in 2013 he fell in love with the city and ended up receiving his Master of Public Health degree at Cardiff University in 2018. His education and career undoubtedly boost his insights into the cannabis debate – he previously worked on healthcare technology and primary care research for University of Michigan’s Department of Family Medicine, Stanford University Center for Health Policy and Primary Outcomes Research, and the United States Veterans Administration Palo Alto Division. John will be discussing all this cannabis related, mostly around the medicinal use of the drug.
