Haydn Festival

The Haydn Festival, which takes place annually in September, is a high point of the concert season. The works of Franz Joseph Haydn are always at the heart of the festival. This musical focus is framed by works of other composers to show relationships, and offer comparisons and contrasts of Haydn's works to other compositions. Furthermore, through the comparison of period instrument ensembles and modern orchestras, the public is given the opportunity for a direct comparison of various performing styles. Through the annual changing areas of focus, such as Haydn and London, Haydn and Vocal Music, Hunting and Wine, among others, access to the entire works of the master is made possible.
