Event details: Farnborough Abbey Organ Recital
Description
Farnborough Abbey is only 5 minutes walk from both Farnborough Main and Farnborough North railway stations, and 5 minutes by car from the M3 at Junction 4. When heading south on the A325 the Abbey entrance will be found set back 50 metres from the road on the left opposite The Ham and Blackbird public house.
The magnificent Grade One Listed Abbey Church was built by the Empress Eugénie, widow of the Emperor Napoleon III of France. There is a free conducted tour every Saturday throughout the year, and on Bank Holiday Mondays, at 3pm. The tour includes a visit to the Crypt, which is the Mausoleum of Napoleon III and his family.
