Description
The 6th UK international Boogie Woogie Festival will be held at The Club Room, Sturminster Newton British Legion, Bath Road, in Sturminster Newton, Dorset. from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th July, and was formerly the 'Fomag' Boogie Woogie festival held in nearby Fontmell Magna.
Line-up There are no acts confirmed yet for 2010.
The festival encompasses acts performing the form of piano music that is boogie woogie. Performing in concert, will be internationally acclaimed boogie woogie and blues pianists from the UK and from all around the world.
Expect two grand pianos, on stage lighting and projection visuals, swing and tap dancing all backed by the festival band.
Tickets Concert tickets are not yet on sale and ticket prices have not yet been confirmed.
More info There are also workshops in boogie woogie piano, swing and tap dance, drumming, history of boogie woogie and more with special workshops for children. There will also be informal sessions for enthusiastic boogie woogie pianists with a traditional bar room setting. Plus there will be food, wine, and real ales on offer at the inn.
