Event details: Blues, Brews and BBQ's - Mt Maunganui
Description
One of the most popular events on the New Zealand summer calendar, the festivals are a celebration of everything that is unique about the traditional kiwi summer lifestyle; our love of outdoor cooking, great music and enjoying an ale or two with good friends and family.
Blues, Brews and BBQâs 2009 will feature live music from King Leo and the Growling Dogs, The Gary Harvey Band, The Best of British Blues Show, The Katy Soljak Band, The Blues Buffet and Midge Marsden and the Midge Marsden Band.
Blues, Brews and BBQ's pays homage to the craft of brewing. Small and large brewers alike will present a diverse range of premier beers to a large and appreciative audience. To cater for all tastes, there will be a selection of fine wine from the South Island Waipara Wines, Cider is making a come back with Bulmer Cider joining the festival for the first time and there will even be a tipple or two of schnapps to be found.
The barbecue too is a real taste sensation. Some of the leading chefs from each region serving up gourmet grill fare fit for royalty with everything else that you would expect from the typical 'barbie'.
The festival also provides a range of children's entertainment including street performers, clowns and a bouncy castle.
Celebrate summer with great music, fine ales and culinary delights.
Tickets available at 7.30am on Monday 1st December from ANZ Bank branches in Katikati, Cherrywood, Tauranga, Greerton, Mt Maunganui, Bayfair and Te Puke.
