Event details: Blend at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria
Description
In Blend Yoko Takashima explores the ideas of marriage, domesticity, and maternity in the modern world.
In a feminine twist on an art form not usually associated with subjects of everyday life, Takashima uses new media – in addition to photography and installation – to enter the intimate spaces of family and motherhood, creating poignant reflections on the daily experience and contemporary possibilities of wives, mothers, husbands, and fathers.
