The southern songstress’s are flying north for the summer - BelleBird are about to embark on their first ever tour of New Zealand.
BelleBird is a female acoustic duo, formed in the deep south of New Zealand in 2007. Invercargill-based Anna Van Riel, 27, and Jo Little, 28, have an eclectic and unique style of acoustic contemporary bluegrass music.
Featuring beautiful vocal harmonies woven over a range of instrumental accompaniments, including guitar, bass, ukulele, flute, harmonica and kazoo, the duo perform an assortment of original and covered songs.
BelleBird has opening for successful touring artists Karen Hunter, Tim Guy, Paul McClaney, Age Prior and Luke Hurley. They have also made regular appearances on Invercargill’s Cue TV.
