About the Building Exploratory
Launched in 1998, the Building Exploratory is a charity and learning organisation that helps people access, understand and value the fabric of their local area. We believe that learning about architecture and the built environment can enrich our lives and improve our neighbourhoods.

The Building Exploratory offers and innovative approach to built environment learning through workshops, building visits, walking tours, professional development, stakeholder engagement and special projects. Our key audiences are schools and older people, though we also work with young people outside of school, families, community groups and built environment professionals
