Recent winner of the 2008 Governor General's Award - Visual and Media Arts, Alex Janvier returns to Canada House Gallery with his first solo exhibition since 1996. Renowned for his free flowing graceful and linear paintings Janvier blazed a trail away from traditional Aboriginal art in the 1960's and changing the art world by not painting what was expected from a native artist.
