A Skylit Drive überraschen immer wieder. Die enorm hohe und dabei äuÃerst klare Stimme von Jag Jagmin, kombiniert mit den gutturalen Schreien von Bassist Brian White und Schlagzeuger Cory LaQuay, der Wechsel zwischen ziemlich heavy Riffs und Einsätzen, melodischen Instrumentalpartien und Synth-Experimenten, die Vielseitigkeit von sechs Musikern, die Post-Hardcore unterwegs sind, erzeugen einen einzigartigen und unnachahmlichen Sound. A Skylit Drive klingen tatsächlich wie niemand sonst, und das bleibt auch auf der neuen, im Juni erscheinenden Platte "Adelphia" so.

Formation and EP (2006 – 2007) A Skylit Drive's original members all met while attending Lodi High School in Lodi. Cory La Quay (drummer) attended Franklin High School in Elk Grove, California along with Matt Mingus (drummer) of Dance Gavin Dance.[3] Their debut EP, She Watched the Sky, was released early in 2007 on Tragic Hero.[4] Following this the group toured with Four Letter Lie, Blessthefall, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Greeley Estates, Oh Sleeper, The Blackout, Alesana, Before Their Eyes, Dance Gavin Dance, Kenotia, Pierce the Veil, and From First to Last.
