FOCM: MENACHEM PRESSLER & RICHARD STOLZMAN
The Friends of Chamber Music proudly present the two esteemed musicians Menachem Pressler on piano and Richard Stolzman on clarinet. Menahem Pressler has been known to music lovers since 1960 as the inimitable pianist of the Beaux Arts Trio constantly leading that ensemble with elegant grace and geniality. The FOCM invited Richard Stolztman to Vancouver in 1978 to play with the renowned Amadeus Quartet. Since then he has had an illustrious career which has straddled the worlds of classical and jazz. He has collaborated frequently with Menachem Pressler. These musicians exemplify the essence of chamber music playing which is defined as “collaborating with their peers with noble spirit and immaculate rapport”.
