Description
Using a video, lecture, discussion, and practice, Red Cross Pet First Aid covers topics such as normal pet conditions (e.g. breathing, pulse rates, and temperature), CPR, rescue breathing, choking, controlling bleeding, capturing and restraining a sick or injured pet, and a variety of illnesses and injuries. Lynne Bettinger is a certified American Red Cross instructor and has been teaching pet first aid classes for more than six years. She is a frequent guest speaker at various pet-related events, school and animal shelter programs. She owns Sundown Ridge, Ltd., (www.sundownridge.com) which is a provider of pet gifts and an authorized provider of American Red Cross pet first aid classes. Lynne is a long-time volunteer with cocker spaniel rescue and is currently studying canine training and management at Kutztown University to further assist with the rescue dogs. Class Rules: 1. Human students ages 14+ only (Red Cross does not allow canine students)! 2. Be on-time (the Red Cross can only certify students who attend the entire class)! 3. Bring snacks and water.
