Grand Rapids: BATTLE OF THE BADGES BLOOD DRIVE at main donor center, 1036 Fuller NE, with public safety employees in police, sheriff, and fire departments throughout Kent County, in a friendly competition to recruit blood donors all week long. Kicking off the campaign on Monday May 12, free food for donors from Hooters, plus WLAV 96.9 broadcasts LIVE 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and donation hours run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Tues-Thurs donate 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fri donate 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.). All week long, donors can enter season drawing to win a 50-inch HD plasma TV from Decker & Sons Appliance.
