The 3rd annual Strut Your Mutt Dog Parade and Festival

The 3rd annual Strut Your Mutt Dog Parade and Festival is set to take place on Saturday, May 17, 2008 in downtown Bethesda, MD. Organized and sponsored by the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rotary Club, past years have brought together over 3,000 participants and more than 400 dogs for a day of fun. With more than 60 exhibitors and sponsors each year, Strut Your Mutt has raised close to $40,000 each year for the benefit of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad, a public service that relies on private donations. How about the best kisser? There will be contests throughout the day. DOG OBEDIENCE ADVICE From puppy chewing to proper leash control to behavioral issues, dog obedience experts will be on hand to offer free advice. DOG PARADE Hundreds of dog owners will Strut with their Mutts in our parade through downtown Bethesda. Judges along the parade route will judge the dogs on ?Best Mutt Strut,? ?Best Parade Outfit,? and other categories. Clowns, musicians and a stilt walker will lead the way. DOG FASHION SHOW The fashion runway never quite looked like this! Bethesda-area dogs will model the latest in canine couture. Dress your dog in style and come on out. CAVALCADE OF EXHIBITORS You?ll find everything from dog clothing and accessory retailers, to vets, to dog portraitists, to dog walkers, to doggy daycare providers, to dog communicators.
