The Black Crowes are one of the few contemporary bands who have also shared the stage with Jimmy Page, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Neil Young, The Grateful Dead and many other legendary artists. They are without doubt one of the greatest American rock roll bands of all time and they are touring Australia in March/April 2008. From the beginning, when they roared out of the gate with their 1990 multi-platinum debut album "Shake Your Moneymaker", The Black Crowes have played by their own rules. They've gone against the grain and formed an intimate connection with their audience, while maintaining their independence and creative freedom from standard industry practices. Chris and Rich Robinson have never veered from their mission of creating rock and roll that is fierce and genuine, with a sound that doesn't conform to easy categorization. After a hiatus of 4 years, on January 11, 2005, The Black Crowes announced their highly anticipated and long-awaited return to the live concert stage with five special shows.....all five shows sold out instantly, marking the fastest New York sell-out that The Black Crowes have experienced to date.
