2012 Monforte Hootenanny and Hoot-Hoot-Hu rray for Dan DeMatteis

When: Sunday, September 30th, from 2 pm - 7 pm. Location: The beautiful Purple Hill Farm,  located in Thorndale, just outside of Stratford, ON. What: Fabulous chef-prepared deliciousness and music and dancing and line dancing lessons and buggy rides and more music and more food and local beverages.  

 In 2010, Monforte Dairy had a Hootenanny about which we still reminisce. We celebrated our newly opened dairy, our supporters, our CSA holders and our market customers with music, food and camaraderie.

 This time, the Hoot has a different goal and this time the inspiration is one man's legacy: the life of Dan DeMatteis. A wonderful gentleman who helped change the way we think about food and eating locally here in Ontario. Sadly Dan passed away earlier this year, but we here at Monforte want to build a memorial for Dan and keep his legacy alive. A portion of your ticket price will be donated directly to the The Local Community Food Centre in Stratford to provide food for those that need some help providing for themselves. 

 We have been dreaming of holding another Hootenanny and this time we thought we should take the party to the country and make it a full-day event. Here is what we are thinking: Ask people to please purchase tickets, $100 per person [children under 12 free], to help us cover costs.  We are able to host 500 people on site for the day and we hope that you'll be one to come share the day with us.
