ABOUT MAXIE D. COLLIERMaxie started his professional media career 19 years ago as an employee of Black Entertainment Television. He is the author and co-publisher of the bestselling book "The IFILM Digital Video Filmmaker's Handbook." He is the producer/director of "Paper Chasers," a documentary on Hip-Hop entrepreneurship co-produced with the Independent Film Channel. His latest feature film and DVD is "BMORE HACKS," the story of a day in the life of a group of illegal cab drivers in Baltimore, in the mid 90s.Collier has had production and distribution deals with IFILM, Lone Eagle Publishing, UrbanEntertainment.com, the Independent Film Channel, Koch Records, The Weinstein Company, and other companies. His films have been screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, Urban World Film Festival, the Hollywood Black Film Festival and others. He has taught classes at the UCLA Extension program and film schools and events around the world.
Maxie is the founder of Urban Arts Club International (www.urbanartsclub.com), a multimedia production company and an online digital media training center. He is also the producer of Gospelplays.tv, an online network for Gospel theater producers and fans.
