      Beekeeping, Part II

      Intermediate Beekeeping is second level class, for those who took Beginner Beekeeping or have had a hive at least since the spring of 2012. This class will cover hive manipulation and inspection (when/why/how to inspect inside the colony), identifying stages of brood and their importance, life cycles of honey bees, wax creation, common problems, why bees sting and how to minimize stings.

      Instructor: Anne Frey
      Location: Begins at Anne’s bee yard (weather permitting), finishes at the Landis Arboretum Library. Registrants will be sent information on bee yard location and on how to check on weather. Please provide an email address if possible.

      Cost: Payment required - Members: $35; Non-members: $45. Free parking at Landis in the lot across from the entry gate.
