Torrey Pines Fun Long Beachwalk II

Come enjoy beachcombing exercise and beautiful coastal ambience today on our fun low-tide long beachwalk about 3.5 miles South from Torrey Pines beach to flat rock and beyond, as far as people want to go. Most will go all the way along the wide flat beach to the mysterious mushroom shaped beachouse! See where parts of the cliff collapsed recently, from a safe distance! Wonderful wide sandy beaches, birds and nature/naturist views along the way. We may see many hang-gliders in the sky if the wind is right! Great aerobics and ocean/coastal panoramas as we stroll the 3.5 miles back on the flat beach. Total about 7 miles. Be prepared for a very long beachwalk, most of us will go all the way for 7 miles. Bring sun protection, jackets, snacks for rest break, water, comfortable shoes, smiles! Come walk with us! Get there very early for best chance to find a free parking spot along the road, otherwise $10 fee to park inside the lot. 12pm NOON! The SOUTH beach parkinglot, please follow directions below, come early. (We start walking at 12:15pm. if you are LATE, you may have to jog south to catch up) Usually nice and cooler along the beach than anywhere else, so come enjoy the seabreezes with us! Any morning rain cancels this hike- check local weather info. take H-5 to Carmel Valley Road, go West towards the ocean, ALL the way to Camino Del Mar & turn left (South). (across the bridge it becomes N.Torrey Pines Rd.) Go about 1/3 mile to 12600 N.T.Pines Rd. where a big sign says "Torrey Pines State Reserve" (before the big hill)($10 parking fee if you park inside lot). You may find a free parking space along the West side of N.Torrey Pines Rd if you go very early enough! Then meet inside lot by the 10-door restroom building bench, across from the beach stairs.
