Photo Editing with Picasa

In this class, you will learn the secrets of Picasa – the free and easy photo editing software from Google that runs on both Windows and Mac.




We will follow a complete photographic workflow:

• Download images from the camera
• Analyze the images using metadata and histogram information
• Rate and organize the images in Picasa’s Library module
• Create Albums to identify and sequence the best images

• Use Picasa’s Editor to do extensive image editing:

*Cropping and straightening
*Exposure and contrast adjustment, color correction, retouching
*Sharpening and toning
*Adding text
*Adding special effects (soft focus, focal B&W, glow)

• Use Picasa to Email, print, and export images
• Create one-click slide shows and photo collages
• Create online Picasa Web Albums for sharing your images
