Buffalo Run -Half Marathon 2/27/10 Catalina Island

I'm Scheduling this tenatively to see who is interested. If you're interested, sign up here so I can better keep track. Please note that you are responsible for making all of your own arrangements...registering, boat ride to the island, hotel accommodations, etc. Hi All, Some of you have expressed interest in the Buffalo Run on Catalina Island scheduled for Feb 27, 2010. I am trying to get my self into good enough condition to "walk" the half marathon and this is why I've been doing the woodson conditioning hikes. Here's what I know so far for those who are interested..... The half marathon is 13 miles -- elevation gain is 1600 (I believe the first 5 miles are all uphill)....the registration fee varies depending on when you register but I think it starts at $80 (you will find the schedule when you visit pacific sports link above)....other costs associated are for hotel accommodations (make your reservations asap, I hear the hotels book up pretty fast), the boat ride to catalina island and of course your meals. If any of you are seriously interested, let me know...maybe we can figure out a training schedule or something. I'll provide more info when I know for sure. Ladies....another group that trains for this marathon is the Dirty Girls Meetup. Karen is the organizer and does this marathon every year. You might be interested in joining that meetup for more training opportunities.....sorry guys, it's a ladies meetup.
