XiiR X-Treme International Ice Racing at Tullio Arena

On November 20 & 21, 2009, XiiR, the X-treme International Ice Racing AMA Pro Tour will be holding its last two rounds of its first ever Fall championship indoor ice racing series at the Tullio Arena located at 809 French Street; Erie, Pa. 16501 .

By popular demand this series, usually running from January – March, has expanded its series to include a fall championship series. The series features lightening quick Speedway Motorcycles and ATV racing on a thick oval track of ice. Top professional riders from England, Scotland, Canada, and the United States in two professional divisions will each be competing for National Championship titles. The event also features an amateur quad division, showcasing local ATV riders who join XiiR for one night of pure adrenaline.

The speedway motorcycles are very lightweight, volatile machines that resemble mountain bikes with large powerful engines burning on nitromethane fuel. What separates these bikes from other forms of racing is the NO BRAKES ALLOWED rule!

The Quad division features highly modified ATVs built and prepared specifically for oval track ice racing. Any engine or chassis configuration is allowed as long as the machine is rear wheel driven and no wider than 52” at any point. Wild machines seen nowhere else and crazy bump-and-grind action are the trademarks of XiiR/AMA quad racing.

In two hours fans will see up to twenty exciting races to determine event champions. After the races there will be an autograph session giving the fans an opportunity to meet and talk with their favorite racers.
