Erie Philharmonic Orchestra to Perform the Music of Pink Floyd With “The Machine”

On Saturday, March 3rd The Erie Philharmonic Orchestra teams up with The Machine (the ultimate Pink Floyd Experience) to perform the music of Pink Floyd at the Warner Theatre in Erie, PA.
The Machine has been called “The Worlds Greatest Pink Floyd Show,” and it is no wonder why. Anyone who has had the privilege to see them live can attest to their stunning level of musicianship and their flare for capturing the spirit and feeling of Pink Floyd. ……The Machine duplicates the sound and hits of Pink Floyd with chilling accuracy – Matt Diehl, Rolling Stone Magazine. Spin Magazine attests that they “….sound exactly like Pink Floyd…” while The Village Voice raves “…The machine is dead-on…” or in the words of Guitar One magazine, “…you know you’ve got it going on when you sell out BB King’s in New York City and Roger Water’s sax player jams with you.”
The Machine’s performance includes computerized light arrays, pristine audio production and a compelling video component presented on a circular screen. The show also features a laser light show that is a tested and proven fan-favorite. The dazzling display borrows from and builds upon the spectacular presentation of Pink Floyd performances of the 70’s and 80’s – appropriately. Brooklyn Philharmonic arranger Maxim Moston created a stunning orchestral arrangement making symphonic performances around the country a possibility.
The Erie Philharmonic is one of the oldest orchestras in the country and is nationally recognized as one of the top orchestras of its size. Each year the Philharmonic presents five symphonic concerts and five pops concerts in the historic Warner Theatre in downtown Erie, PA. The Erie Philharmonic also provides community outreach services such as a free concert on the beautiful Erie bay front at the end of each summer and a series of free ensemble performances during the lunch hour in the summer.
Acclaimed Director and Conductor Raffaele Ponti will be the conductor for the show. Maestro Ponti is a rising star who has gained international acclaim and attention. His conducting is expressive, clear and emotionally communicative.
