The Gothic Theatre is located in Englewood, Colorado. Since first opening in the 1920s, the Gothic Theatre has had its share of ups and downs. The venue’s unstable history finally found some stability in 1998 when two friends bought the building out of bankruptcy and saved it from the wrecking ball. Although the Gothic Theatre has undergone many changes to its themes and architecture, it has still managed to keep its original Art Deco interior. The Gothic Theatre Englewood is equipped with a wrap-around balcony, a refurbished original marquee and a state of the art sound and lighting system.In its beginning years, the Gothic Theatre was one of Denver’s premiere movie palaces. The Gothic Theatre Englewood gained much popularity because it was the first movie palace in the city to show talking movies. Today, more than just the appearance of the Gothic Theatre Englewood has changed. The Gothic Theatre schedule is now dedicated to bringing the city the best in live music and entertainment events, from both a local and national talent pool.
