Certification upon completion of this course

Teaching Technique: Combinations, transitions, improvisation and choreography

All categories of technique will be covered.

We will examine different ways of teaching a Belly Dance Level 1 Class, and introduce the SirenMethod.

You will learn complete vocabulary of belly dance basic moves, counts, and breaking down a movement. You will learn how to create and teach combinations, transitions, improvisation and choreography.

We will also examine physical and emotional benefits of individual moves; correcting mistakes and making adjustments, stretching, warm ups and cool downs.

Required Materials: Class DVD-hip belt; 16 hours - $350

Sep 11th, Saturday, 3-8:30PM (half hour break)

Belly Dance

The worlds oldest dance, Belly Dance, is a spiritual connection between mind and body. Belly Dancing is as grand and imperial as classical ballet but, differs because it offers its practitioner a total experience of well-being, joy, freedom and most importantly, is a celebration of the feminine soul and inner spirit through movement.

Certification

Upon successfully completing BMTS 1, 2, 3, and 4, you will receive the BAMBOOMOVES-The SIREN Belly Dance Instructor Certification, and will be certified to teach Bamboomoves Beginner Level 1 Belly Dance Classes. Schedule for BMTS3 now, courses are ongoing through 2011!

Your Tutors

This course is developed and taught by Birnur Siren, one of the most well known and respected Belly Dance Instructors and performers in the U.S., who is originally from Turkey and a Bamboomoves Instructor, in collaboration with Scott Kleinfeld, Owner, Bamboomoves Englewood & Palisades Park.
Description

This course is aimed at women who want to learn the true essence of the Art of Belly Dance, and teach others. It will teach you how to develop your own dance form and teaching skills and deepen your knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the Art of Belly Dance. This training course will include technique and style, and teaching skills, connecting Body, Mind/Mind/Spirit.

Having the feel and foundation of the Art of Belly Dance is essential, as well as inspiring and motivating students to achieve their highest potential in live. Our mission is to produce quality, competent teachers trained and certified in the BMTS Format, who will guide many others seeking to lead a healthy, joyful, creative and empowered life.

Requirements

At least one year studying Belly Dance, be at Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Level. You may be considered if you are almost at Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Level as long as you commit to additional private lessons.

We will do a full review of all program material to make sure each student is confident in their skills and knowledge before the practical and written final exams are administered on the last day of this course. All courses paid in advance and non-refundable.
