LOCAL ARTISTS ARE CELEBRATED AT MONTHLY SATURDAY ART WALK IN EL SEGUNDO, CA

When:
Saturday, April 14th, 2012.
Repeats: Every Second Saturday of each month, from 12 Noon to 6 pm.

What:
Plaza El Segundo and Artlife Galleries celebrate local fine artists with a monthly Art Walk, which features live fine art demonstrations, art exhibit, hands-on art workshops, from talented local fineartists from the South Bay area, and Live music! This month presenting Young Musicians Performance Academy's Big Band and Advanced Jazz Ensemble.
YMPA is dedicated to the idea that a successful young musician is created equally from working hard in a regular practice routine AND showing off that hard work! The YMPA Big Band performs jazz in the style of New Orleans big bands, 1930-40's Big Band Swing, Funk, and Blues.
The YMPA Advanced Jazz Ensemble works in the more advanced style of combo playing. They focus heavily on improvisation and tackle tunes like Herbie Hancock's "Chameleon," the New Orleans classic "Bourbon Street Blues".
