Tuesday Evening Canoe/Kayak Lessons and Picnic (Metro Accessible)! This is posted with permission from Jim Finucane. Take note this is NOT a MEETUP event. This is posted for those of you who have expressed an interest in Kayaking/Canoe Lessons and Jim was kind enough to let me post this event. This is probably the best value package you will ever see and has several instructors! Their posting reads... "EVERY Tuesday Evening Canoe and Kayak Lessons Plus a Picnic! This event is sponsored by the National Park Service. The canoe and Kayak class will start on Tuesday the 2nd of June and continue every Tuesday through to August 25th. Join any or all of these 6:30-8 pm classes on the C and O Canal at FletcherÂ’s Boat House! Carpool Information If you can drive or want to carpool from any location, please post your location in the comment section below. For those who need a ride, reach out to the drivers. Lessons start promptly at 6:30PM The class covers kayaking/canoeing at all levels. Bring food to share at the post-class potluck picnic. Cost for canoe, paddle, life jacket, and lessons is $5/person.
