Nature Nuts: Woodpeckers

Throughout the year, we are blessed with many woodpecker residents in Elkhart County. During this class, kids, ages 3-5, will learn about what woodpeckers eat, what they look like and how they avoid getting a headache with all that tapping. Weather permitting; we will go on a short hike, so please dress appropriately. We will meet at the Ox Bow Haus Shelter in Ox Bow County Park from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Parents or other adults are welcome to accompany the children. Registration and payment of $3.00 per child are required by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31. To register, please call the Elkhart County Parks' office at 574-535-6458.
