Award-Winning Film, "Home," Premieres at Elizabethtown College

In celebration of High Library’s 20th anniversary, the High Library Film Series proudly presents “Home.” A 2008 Official Selection of the Montreal World Film Festival, “Home” tells the story of Inga, a poet and mother struggling with the demise of her marriage, breast cancer and substance abuse. Her rise and transformation through her poetry and her relationship with her 8-year-old daughter will captivate you. “Home” – which stars Academy Award-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden – was filmed entirely on location in Lancaster and York counties and Goat’s Island, Maine. A discussion with special guest speakers Mary Haverstick, who wrote and directed the film, and Michele Mercure, the composer, will follow the screening.
