Description: Historian, computer programer, telecommunications lawyer, and film producer Kathy Kleiman will speak about the women who programmed the first all-electronic programmable computer, ENIAC, over sixty years ago. She will talk about her efforts to produce a film documenting the unique and unsung accomplishments of these skilled mathematicians. The lecture is co-sponsored by Duke University's Office of the Provost, Office of Information Technology, Women in Science and Engineering, and RENCI.
