The ever-changing music collective known as UFO continue to cut a swathe through rock's rich tapestry by taking on the rather fine live album Stop Making Sense. Last month, it was John Martyn's Solid Air. Next month, it's Bowie's Ziggy Stardust. This month though, it's Talking Heads. The New York foursome had seemingly shot their load artistically by the time filmmaker Jonathan Demme captured them performing a highly theatrical trip through their back catalogue at The Pantages Theatre, Hollywood in December 1983. The resulting film would become a latenight cinema staple, and the album spent over two years on the Billboard 200 chart. Nice. This ain't no party, this ain't no disco – and this certainly ain't no frickin' Australia tribute band. This is The Universal Funk Orchestra. No Rules, No Rehearsals, No Refunds.
