‘Everyone’s Cup of Tea’ - Tea Tasting with Owen Dawson

Ireland has recently undergone something of a Coffee revolution but waiting to revive us all once again is Tea. Catherine of Braganza, a Portuguese princess was, for example, an avid tea drinker. It is perhaps to her that we look to trace the development of the popular and wide spread consumption of tea from the 17th century onward. Tea at that time was an expensive luxury but suddenly it rose to become more fashionable than Coffee as a beverage.

Broadcaster and tea enthusiast Owen Dawson will try to be ‘Everyone’s Cup of Tea’ with this interesting presentation on the subject. His talk will be both informative and practical as he highlights some interesting variants of the beverage currently available - with a cup of tea for everyone in the audience
