Embark on an epicurean adventure of world foods...

Baba Ganoush from Lebanon, sushi from Japan, bratwurst from Germany, hot vindaloo from India, oodles of noodles from Japan, Spanish tapas, French haute cuisine, fresh Italian pastas, tex mex, creole, pig roast and an authentic Yurt dwelling...


The Festival of World Foods takes place at Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, Co Dublin on October 3rd and 4th from 10am – 6pm each day with foods, flavours, cookery demonstrations and workshops from around the globe.

Highlights include the Agri Aware Mobile Farm and ‘Meet the Spuds’ demonstration Unit where children can get up close to farm animals and farm life. The Back to Basics area will feature an authentic ‘Yurt’ dwelling where people can enjoy home made ice-cream, smoothies and raw foods. Guest Head Chef, Traweekak Trakoolwattana from award winning Thai and Vietnamese restaurant, Saba who previously cooked for the king and queen of Thailand will do cookery workshops showcasing his unique ingredients and cooking style. A big highlight of the Festival of World Foods is the Hoe Down with a pig roast, corn on the cob and baked potatoes with live music from popular 7 piece string band ‘Prison Love’ complete with prison uniforms, washboard and a selection of Bluegrass, old-time, gospel and Cajun tunes with great music and fun in equal doses.

A World Food Festival Café will sell lunchtime or snack offerings and give families an opportunity to sample some of the best foods in Ireland and around the world, attend workshops such as sushi making, sausage making and world food cookery demonstrations from Trinidad to Thailand.
