The Fallen Troubadours at Puck
The music has a 1960's jingle jangle feel to it. Think of the Byrds.... Add in some soul ala Van Morrison or Ray Charles. Now add to that a band that creates momentous low-fi energy, such as Dr. Dog or Delta Spirit. Finally, a spoonful of Dylan, and a dash of John Lennon. That is The Fallen Troubadours sound. Like a prism of colors passing through the glass, coming out something familiar, but new and unheard.
Chris Arena
Chris Arena's self-titled debut is an album of haunting lyrics that dig deeper than the bones, and beautifully vulnerable melodies that hum louder than your own thoughts. Mixed by Grammy Award-winner Tony Maserati, Arena's songs combine the intimacy of Nick Drake with the modern, semi-sprawling sensibilities of Alexi Murdoch and Bright Eyes. Two of his songs are featured in the new documentary Dark Fall by New Jersey filmmaker Alex DePhillipo.
Mount Joy Band
Rock'n Roll band from Philadelphia, influenced by The Doors, Led Zepplin, Rolling Stones.
Doors @ 6 pm / Show @ 8:30 pm | $5
