Free National Forest Walk is rated 3+. Mueller State Park Walk is rated a 2. If you are unused to exercising at altitude, then it is rated higher. Rain or snow will increase the difficulty. Wheelchairs can complete the portion of the Mueller walk on pavement. Strollers with as wide tires as possible and jogging strollers should be OK. **Pets are NOT allowed in Mueller State Park,** but they are allowed in the National Forest. Carrying water is recommended. Water is available at the Start/Finish. Restrooms are located at the Start/Finish, and in the park, but not at the Forest Service trail head. The route follows a dirt and rock trail with a few hills. Please allow 2 ½ hours to enjoy the walk.
