City of Detroit’s Official Holiday Tree Lighting at Campus Martius Park

The City of Detroit, DTE Energy, Campus Martius Park, “Detroit’s Gathering Place,” and the Detroit 300 Conservancy welcome in the holiday season with the annual lighting of Detroit’s Holiday Tree on Friday, November 20, from 6 to 8 PM. This special metro Detroit tradition will celebrate its sixth year anniversary and feature a wide variety of winter fun events including world-class and local ice skating shows, as well as live choirs and entertainment.

Additional holiday activities for all ages will include public ice skating until midnight at The Rink, carriage rides, a warming tent, food vendors and the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Kick-off. At the center of all this activity, the evening will reach its crescendo with the magical tree lighting, taking place at approximately 8 PM.
