Denver Children's Home - Cool-Fax & Kids Connect

This year Denver Children's Home is celebrating 134 years of restoring hope and health to traumatized kids and their families in the Denver community. Located on Albion Street and Colfax Avenue, DCH is part of the Colfax business district community. On Saturday, April 17, 2010, Denver Children's Home is hosting the Cool-Fax & Kids Connect community service/fundraiser. More than 200 volunteers will help make Colfax Avenue a little cleaner for our Denver neighbors and friends. A team of volunteers will be out in force from 9:30 to 11:00am picking up trash, cleaning sidewalks, and washing windows along more than four miles of Colfax Avenue. In order for Denver Children's Home to have an accurate volunteer count and to ensure adequate supplies and food and beverage at the pre- and post-events, volunteers are required to pre-register with Denver Children's Home. However, if you would like to make a donation, Denver Children's Home will graciously accept your financial contribution, which you may do prior to the event. You'll also have an opportunity donate at the post-event lunch. Here's a quick overview of the day's schedule: 9-9:30am Volunteer check in 9:30-11am We're cleaning up Colfax 11am-12:00pm Post-event lunch *Children under the supervision of an adult are permitted . A signed waiver of liability will be required prior to the start of the event.* Starbucks is providing free coffee for volunteers at the pre-event check in. Lunch is on Popeye's. Each volunteer will get a 2-piece snack lunch at the post-event lunch. All pre-registered volunteers will receive a Cool-Fax & Kids Connect t-shirt.
