International Dance Instructors Sara Deckard and Michael "Dargoff" Darigol

What?!? International Dance Instructors? Who are these wonderful people?

Sara Deckard - Sara Deckard, of Denver, Colorado, has been in love with dance for eight years and knows how to show it. Rather than technique and steps, Sara emphasizes staying true to the spirit of the music, creating authentic, organic movement, and having as much fun as possible. This shows both in her performances and in her classes.

She taught last year at Lindy Diversion between teaching gigs in Italy, France, and Belgium. She will be teaching this summer in Germany, Belgium, France and at for the second time at the Herrang Dance Camp in Herrang, Sweden. Look for her in August at Lindy on the Rocks!

She's regularly pointed out to people who don't know her as "that one over there who's dressed phenomenally" It's no surprise to anyone who meets her when they find out that she has worked off-broadway as a costumer and also sells custom pieces to people with money who ask really nicely.

When in Denver, she also maintains her role as a choreographer for the all-star all-girl dance troupe "The Diamond Dolls!"

Michael "Dargoff" Darigol - Michael has been dancing and performing in the swing dance community since 2003. In the past 5 years his interest and dedication to lindy hop, jazz and blues has grown immensely and led Michael to competitions and events worldwide.

Since 2007, Michael has been teaching dance in the Seattle area. His instruction ranges from Lindy Hop and Charleston, to Solo Authentic Jazz, Blues and Balboa. In 2008, he was asked to teach with Sugar Sullivan and Barbara Billups at Herräng dance camp and again at Century Masters of Lindy Hop and Tap '08 and '09.

Michael has trained with world class instructors such as Sugar Sullivan, Barbara Billups, Norma Miller, Lance Benishek, Fatima Teffahi, Lennart Westerlund Daniel Heedman & Åsa Palm, Hanna & Mattias Lundmark, Michael Faltesek, Skye Humphries, Frida Segerdahl, Andy Ried & Nina Gilkensen, Peter Loggins, Rob & Diane Van Haaren and the incomparable Frankie Manning!

Although Michael has spent a great deal of time and effort training and practicing, it's regular social dancing that keeps him tuned up. While on the social floor, Michael displays passion, joy and silliness. If you're not smiling, you're not doing it right.
