Learn from one of Bass Pro Shops Fly Fishing Team and one of Colorado’s Best Fly Tiers!

Alan is a Colorado Fly Fishing Guide for well over a decade with Trout Trips, Fly Fishing and Casting Instructor for 17 years and the Fly Fishing Instructor at Arapahoe Community College

The reward?
Sweeten the memory of the thrill of catching a trout on the fly you created from feathers, fur and flash!

This is a 3 week fly tying clinic. Meet the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Tuesdays of each month 6:30 pm. Check in at the White River Fly Shop at 6 pm.

FREE Fly Tying Instruction by Alan Reyes!

* Costs for tools and materials are the responsibility of the student.

* Supply list for the recipes of each individual fly being tied weekly is available in the White River Fly Shop.

* Students will tie a variety of flies including dries, nymphs and streamers:

Class #1: On sign up, prior to Class #1, the students will be given a list of tools and materials to be purchased for the class.

Introduction to Fly Tying: Explaining tools and methods. Dressing and tying and finishing a San Juan Worm. Equipment: The class participants will have their own equipment.

Class #2: Continuation: Recap of the first class. Tying Nymphs: Pheasant Tail, Hare’s Ear and Midge Pattern. Tying Streamers: Marabou Leech, Black Woolly Bugger.

Class #3: Recap of second class. Tying Dry Flies: Elk Hair Caddis, Griffith’s Gnat. Tying Soft Hackle Wet Flies: Hare’s Ear Soft Hackle.
