DBG Chatfield Tour, and potluck picnic with Mt. Loretto Community Families

Fran has enough DBG membership cards for this month to get 10 carloads of people into the Denver Botanic Gardens (DBG) Chatfield at no cost to the participants - FREE. Thanks to the wonderful welcome from the director of DBG Chatfield, Larry Vickerman, Topic-Talk Walks has an opportunity to collaboratively share a visit to this picturesque nature preserve among the grasslands, ponds and cottonwood banks of Deer Creek at the Denver Botanic Gardens (DBG) at Chatfield. Topic-Talk Walks (TTW) is collaborating with the Random Acts of Kindness, and the Mt. Loretto Community Housing Meetup groups for this combination potluck picnic and DBG Chatfield tour. After our potluck picnic next to the schoolhouse from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Penny, a DBG Chatfield volunteer guide, will take us on a tour from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, introducing us to the nature trails, a wildlife observation area, display gardens, educational exhibits, a historical farm, a 19th century one-room schoolhouse, working beehives, and the delightful new Deer Creek Discovery childrenÂ’s area, with it's whimsical tree house and a water feature. Meet at Mt. Loretto to carpool for free admission using TTW DBG cards We will be meeting to carpool together from the Mt. Loretto Community Housing location at 3101 S.
