Cards For Courage Thanksgiving meet up!

What We Do: Cards For Courage supports children with cancer by sending them encouraging letters or cards. This Cards 4 Courage Meetup we will work on cards for the children at The Children's Hospital. We won't be sending them to specific children (unless you know a child that's there), so come prepared to create cards for boys and girls of varying interests. "But I'm Not An Artist!" Doesn't matter - come anyway! It really isn't about the artistry, it's about the compassion and the way you reach out to touch another human's soul through your card/letter. You don't need to be Van Gogh to show a child just how much you care. What to Bring You don't have to bring anything, but I encourage everyone to bring some supplies if they can. I don't really have that much, so anything that you could bring would be greatly appreciated. Some ideas are: stickers, paper (colored or white), blank cards, pens, markers, envelopes, etc... (anything you have and can share with others to use on the cards). If we get a large turnout, it would be a shame to run out of supplies! Probably the best thing you could bring is stickers, stencils, rubber stamps, and blank cards, if you're looking for ideas. Who Can Come? Anyone and everyone. Feel free to bring friends, coworkers, and anyone else that would like to attend. This is an all-ages and all-day drop-in-when-you-can event. We can get quite a few people in the room and if we need to spill out a bit into the rest of the restaurant, we can. We've done it before! Thanks! This store has been very kind to RAK, so please feel free to grab a coffee, muffin, or sandwich while we're there to off-set the costs of them allowing us to use the space. Additionally, a Cards For Courage donation box will be present. We certainly appreciate all the help you are able to offer so we can buy more supplies. I plan on being there until 6:30pm.
