Breckenridge International Snow Sculptures

Each year, blank canvasses of snow become works of art. From a whimsical bouquet of enormous flowers, to thought provoking abstract shapes, sculptors form these masterpieces before thousands of spectators over the course of five days in the heart of town. In its 18th year, artists from all over the world will come together to present intricate, awe-inspiring snow sculptures. These artists will carve twenty-ton, 12-foot-tall blocks of snow into pieces of art using only their creativity, inspiration, own two hands and permitted hand tools. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we'll have a clear, sunny day and dry roads. Carpooling and a meeting place near Breckenridge Riverwalk Center will be decided once we know who's going. After viewing the sculptures we'll find a place to have lunch. Hope you can join us! $1 per person to cover meetup fees.
