  • Tomorrow is the official kickoff of Vote for Change, an unprecedented 50-state voter registration and mobilization drive. In over 100 cities across America, from Anchorage, Alaska to Miami, Florida, grassroots supporters will hit the streets to register voters. With events planned in every single state, no matter where you live, you can find an event near you.

As Democratic Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas explained,"This could change the face of American politics for decades to come."

Our efforts across the country have already yielded incredible results. According to a recent Associated Press survey, over 3.5 million people registered to vote in the first three months of 2008. Now we're expanding our approach to every single state, as part of a sustained, six-month effort that could reshape the electoral map.

Most events will begin in the late morning or early afternoon, and will run approximately four hours. No prior experience is necessary, and materials and training will be provided at each location.

There is no better way to start your weekend tomorrow, and no more important work to be done right now than bringing more voters, and more voices, into the political process.

    Find an event near you.

I think the best live music venue in limburg is the classic cafe Valkenburg...its a very special place ....where musician's of all styles from classical /spanish/ blues /country /rock n roll /folk or just popular music from all ages can come and play there song alone or join in with others......I have been playing there for the last 5 years most weekends .....and hand on hart every night is different but very special the cafe has a magic all of its own the acoustics are special as the building is half under ground the back part of the cafe is a cave carved out of solid rock so i think this is a contributing factor. But the most important factor in the creation of this special magic is ANITA the lovely lady who owns the cafe and built it up from nothin

  • Gotcha

Did you see the debate Wednesday night?

If you did, you saw more gotcha politics and distractions than questions about the pressing issues affecting our country.

In fact, it took more than 45 minutes before Barack was asked about the economy, health care, or foreign policy.

Regrettably, Senator Clinton seemed all too comfortable with that type of debate. She's running a 100% negative campaign in Pennsylvania, taking every opportunity to make personal and discredited attacks against Senator Obama.

You can send a message that politics doesn't have to be played this way.

Make your first donation today, and someone who's already given will match whatever amount you decide to give. You can double your impact, and you'll even get to see the name and town of the fellow supporter matching your first online gift.

Will you make a $25 donation now?

    https://donate.barackobama.com/match

Senator Clinton's false, negative attacks are exactly the kind of say-anything, do-anything politics that the American people are tired of.

That's why polls show that the majority of Americans think she's running the most negative campaign, and 58% of voters do not find her honest or trustworthy.

Barack Obama wants to end the politics of division and distraction in Washington so we can bring about real change for ordinary Americans.

The stakes are too high to play the same old games. More than 1.3 million supporters have responded to Barack's message of change, and with your help we can reach 1.5 million by May 6th.

Make a donation of any amount today, and it will be matched by a previous donor who has pledged to double your impact:

    Dinner with Barack

    Friend --

Too many political fundraisers are hosted by Washington lobbyists and filled with representatives of special interests.

    Our campaign is different.

Our funding comes from a movement of more than one million people giving whatever they can afford -- and Barack wants to sit down with supporters like you.

If you've ever thought about making a donation to join our campaign, now is the time.

In the next week, four supporters will be selected for a different kind of fundraising dinner. And we're reserving two of those seats for new donors like you.

Make a donation in any amount between now and 11:59 pm EDT on Monday, March 31st, and you could join Barack and three other supporters for an intimate dinner for five:

    https://donate.barackobama.com/dinner

Our movement is changing the way campaigns are funded.

This campaign has never taken contributions from Washington lobbyists or political action committees.

More than one million donors have demonstrated that this election is about more than a candidate -- it's about each of us having a personal stake in the future of American politics.

This dinner is an opportunity for you to sit down with Barack and your fellow supporters and talk about the issues that matter to you.

Get the kind of treatment other politicians reserve for special interests. Make a donation in the next week, and you could share your story and your ideas with Barack in person:

    https://donate.barackobama.com/dinner

With every donation, we're building a movement to change American politics.

Help the movement grow, and own a piece of this campaign today.

    Thanks for your support,

    David

  • Donate and Be One of the Million

We are within striking distance of something historic: one million people donating to this campaign.

This unprecedented foundation of support has built a campaign that has shaken the status quo and proven that ordinary people can compete in a political process too often dominated by special interests.

But it's going to take an incredible organizing effort to bring in 100,000 new donors before March 4th.

Be a part of this historic effort -- make a donation of at least $25 now and receive an "I Am One of the Million" t-shirt.

We can only send one one T-shirt per donation, but you can make multiple donations if you'd like more than one T-shirt.

Please donate now and be one of the million.

The Fair Tax is the best and and yet most oppressed idea for funding the US government in decades. Every time someone takes a stand for it, it is oppressed by big business and influential individuals who simply do not want to pay their fair share of taxes that are then left for the middle class working familes to compensate for them. GO MIKE HUCKABEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Iowa was a great start. Help keep the momentum going.

You can be a part of our movement in California, but you must be registered to vote. And your voter registration form must be received by the California Secretary of State's office by January 21 -- just two weeks away.

Get as many people to make these 3 phone calls. Call GOP contributor and war contractor General Electric Corporation at 800 386 1215 or 203 373 2211 and tell the person who answers, that you want the GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt to get Bush to end the war in Iraq and then Bush resign with Cheney and until that happens you will not buy any GE products and that you will tell your friends about this. Call GOP contributor Rite Aid Corporation at 800-325-3737 and tell the person to get the CEO to get the congress to enact HR 676 Single payer universal health care and repeal Medicare Part D and place the drug benefit in Medicare Part B covering 80% of drugs with no extra premiums, no extra deductibles, no means tests, no coverage gaps, and remove the means test for Medicare Part B and until that happens, you won't buy ANYTHING from Rite Aid Pharmacies and that you will tell your friends about this. Call GOP contributor Wendy's restaurants at 614 764-3553 and Tell the person in public relations that you want their CEO to get the congress to help enact a $10/HR MIN. I would come to Nevada, but that's a bit expensive for a college kid. How about Mr. Obama coming down to San Diego and speaking at Mandeville Audiorium, or even better RIMAC Arena. Tell us college kids how you're better than Clinton, McCain, or Guiliani.

Just thought I would share this information for anyone who supports Obama. I bought a bunch of stuff from http://www.obamacampus.com for a rally that we had at my school and I just wanted to recommend it because it's inexpensive, fast and I know people don't have a lot of money to spend on bumper stickers and T shirts. They also have the lowest cost yard signs that I could find. I hope your event is successful and hopefully we’ll have even more Obama supporters!
  • kdlee
As a white traditionalist, I too would like to Q and A with Mr. Obama.
  • psnorris
I would like Sen. Obama to come back to San Diego and speak at a larger venue. I think many people are insterested in learning more about him.
