Sample dozens of flavors of cold brews during the Beer Fest beginning at 1:00 pm August 4th; then stay for a free concert featuring alternative rockers Cake on the Seaside Stage.Vocalist and songwriter John McCrea created Cake in Sacramento, CA in 1992. The band encompasses a myriad of musical styles including country, rock, funk, new wave pop, hip hop, and jazz. Their music is filled with a crooked sense of humor and satire accompanied by catchy guitar riffs and a solo trumpet. Cake first became popular in the downtown club and cafe scene and then gained a steady following in San Francisco. Through Capricorn and Columbia Records they have released five studio albums, all demonstrating uncommon creative consistency. Among Cake's other accomplishments is the Unlimited Sunshine Tour, an annual traveling music festival that features eclectic bands of multiple musical genres.
