PROGRAM NOTES | View online | This immersive evening of Indian dance features acclaimed Kathak master Rachana Yadav and the immensely talented students of the Kalanjali Dances of India schools in Berkeley, Lafayette and Sacramento. Yadav continues our Growing Up in India theme with a new solo work, Samvet, which expresses the maturation of a typical Indian through the lens of the five elements of nature. The vibrant Kalanjali dancers will display the range of their talents with excerpts from their full-length Osiris and Isis, a folk dance and a classical Indian piece.
