Mozart's Requiem- Davidson College Concert Choir

The Davidson College Concert Choir, a large college and community ensemble, is dedicated to presenting masterpieces of the choral-orchestral repertoire. Ranging from 80 to 110 singers, it regularly performs with the Davidson Pro Arte Orchestra, a professional ensemble. With the collaboration of professional soloists, the Concert Choir has performed Haydn’s The Creation, J. S. Bach’s Magnificat in D, Poulenc’s Gloria, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Brahms Nänie and Schickalslied, as well as Handel’s Messiah. Open to audition to students and community members alike, the group will perform W. A. Mozart’s Requiem in fall 2009 and Vaughan William’s Dona Nobis Pacem and Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna in spring 2010. Faculty, Staff, and Students of Davidson College can purchase individual tickets by entering the last 5 digits of your Davidson ID number when prompted for the pass or member code.
