Event details: The Young Republic with Maylane, Alan Sweet
Description
The Young Republic are 6 musicians from Nashville, TN that play rock n' roll music mixed with American folk , Country and references to Jazz and Classical. Their influences include Dylan, Lennon and many other rock acts of the same time period, as well as The White Stripes, Wilco, and The Strokes.
Over their four year career they have released many, many EPs, which are for the most part now out of print. Currently they are signed to a UK record label where we have enjoyed modest success with a few successful tours and the release of our mildly acclaimed debut album "12 Tales From Winter City" - a compilation of songs from the recordings they made while they were college students in Boston, MA. They have just completed their newest release Balletesque (out October 12th) at their studio in Nashville, TN.
In the mean time, they also just finished up a new 6 song "Idiot Grin" EP which will be exclusively available on tour this fall. In addition to this, they have a full slate of unrecorded material that will keep them busy well into the winter.
